This is my fifth tattoo and it was done by Tony at Greg’s Tattooing in Wheeling, West Virginia. It’s a quote from Buffy the Vampire Slayer (S05E22), a show that has inspired me since I was a kid and helped me through the good and bad times in my life. Buffy said this to her sister before she saved the world and died, in the hopes that her sister would be able to keep living even through her death just months after their mother died. It’s a reminder to always be strong, to always live, even when it feels like the world is ending.
I love that I was looking at the pictures and immediately started yammering on about how Spike went after her…then I scrolled down. THIS IS WHY WE LOVE SPIKE.In Empty Places, I could not believe that everyone turned against Buffy and kicked her out of her own home. I wanted SOMEONE to stand up for her, after everything that she did for them. I was never more disappointed in the show than at that moment.
Agreed. Thought it was very interesting how in the end, spike was the one who stood up for buffy
I can’t tell you how many times I thought of this scene when my grandma died, because it is stupid. It is really fucking stupid and human and awful. It’s crazy how someone can be here one second and be gone the next. And they will never exist again. My grandma will never smile at me or laugh at me or scold me ever again. She’ll never pet my hair or fix the hem on my dresses or see me get married. And as much as I love that she was here once and that a part of her does live on in me and my memories of her, I hate that she’s gone and that she isn’t coming back.
Everything about this scene (the dialogue, Emma’s acting) is painful and so utterly true. Thank you, Joss Whedon.

Buffy Heads to MTV and Logo
“Those familiar chords, that signature font, that full moon. Yes, Buffy is coming back to TV. No, alas, not new episodes. Reruns of all seven seasons of the cult series are coming to the Viacom-owned channels MTV and Logo next year. The show will launch New Year’s Day on Logo with an 18-hour marathon from 6 a.m. to 12 a.m. EST. Then starting Jan. 4 it will air weeknights at 6 and 7 p.m. and late nights at 2 and 3 a.m. It will also show at various times on the weekends.”
